Supplies Included:
Stir sticks x 4 and rubber bands x 4– To create a stand for the rocket.
Blue 2 oz cup – For measuring water.
Red 2 oz cup – For measuring vinegar.
Spoon – To measure the baking soda.
Rubber stoppers (x2) – To seal the bottle
Balloon (optional) – For experimenting with gas production
Supplies not Included:
Vinegar – The acid for the reaction.
Baking soda – The base for the reaction.
2-liter bottle – Acts as the rocket
Napkins – To hold the baking soda.
This activity is a hands-on way to demonstrate chemical reactions and the principles of propulsion.
